The Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Edgardo Riveros, chaired, alongside the Secretary of State of Croatia, Mrs. Zdravka Busic, the VIII meeting of Political Consultation between Chile – Croatia, in the city of Zagreb.
Under Secretary Riveros was received by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia, María Pejcinovic Buric, with whom he analysed the main issues of the bilateral agenda, highlighting the positive relation that exists between both countries, ever since Chile acknowledged Croatia as an Independent State and established diplomatic relations, 25 years ago.
Afterwards, there was a meeting of Political Consultation, occasion on which they dealt with the relationship between Chile and Croatia in the politic, economic, academic and cultural areas, highlighting the special importance of the presence of Croatian descendants in our country, who are a well-known contribution to different areas of the national endeavour.
Finally, it was also highlighted in the meeting the permanent support that Croatia has given to the modernization process of the Association Agreement between Chile – European Union.
