Under Secretary Riveros, within the context of the upcoming visit of the President of Botswana, Seretse Khama Ian Khama, that will take place this 31st of July and 1st of August, held an audience with the Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ministry, Gaeimelwe Goitsemang.
During the meeting, Under Secretary Riveros highlighted the excellent standard the bilateral relations have reached and the importance that our country gives Botswana in its efforts to deepen our relationship and presence in the African continent. The upcoming visit of the President Seretse Khama Ian Khama is proof of that, as well as the shared interest in moving forward in the reinforcement of the cooperation in areas such as mining, agriculture and agribusiness, social development and renewable energies.
The authorities were able to ratify that, within the pursue for the development and wellbeing of their people, both countries share their vision regarding democracy, respect for human rights and the Rule of law.
